First of all, the New Postal Constituent will be in the mail by the end of the day today! It's a concise pocket sized map of the Museum of Failure for the Agoraphobic or OUT-OF-TOWNER.
And to supplement this map, we've assembled some photographs of the actual museum installed at the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum (taken by the lovely Katrina Boemig!) If you're in Buffalo and have not seen it yet hurry! The show comes down on Tuesday!
Upon entering you're confronted by some original Newsreel footage of Franz Reichelt jumping off the Eiffel tower in his flying suit.
Looking back from the Abyss.
Looking toward the Abyss. (the abyss is a well of india Ink. look deep inside to contemplate chaos and misfortune)
The museum rules, Nietzsche's Madness, A Brief History of Failure, Stories of men who tried remind us why trying hard can hurt so bad and A diorama displaying all of the knowledge in the World going up in flames.
Above a Close up on Nietzsche. And below some photos from the Grand Opening!
Kristen and Chris suggest an answer, writing on index cards with ink pulled directly from the abyss.
Here's a shot of me talking to the press (above) and giving a lecture (below)
